“Mighty” Tiger As A Mascot In The Sports World.
When starting up a new team, whether it be in high school, an intramural league, college sports, or at the professional level, one of the most important consideration the team will have to make is deciding on a team name and on the mascot for the team. After building up your team (choosing a coach, the right city to base the team, getting the players, salaries, and all the financials in order), the team must decide on the team name which is relevant and meaningful to the city, and must decide on a mascot which will represent that city’s team.
When deciding on the proper mascot, the “mighty” tiger has become one of the most prevalent, the most used, and one of the most important mascots which has been decided on by hundreds (if not thousands) of teams around every league of the sporting world, and at every level from the pros to kiddie leagues and intramurals.
The “mighty” tiger, and powerful animals in general, have become synonymous with strength, power, fierce, competative, and the overall winner. The tiger is the king of the jungle; therefore, teams are putting out the message with this mascot that they are going to be the kings of the sport.
The mascot represents your team and your city. And in many team histories, past and present, the “mighty” tiger has become a prevalent figure around the sporting world. Whether it is because teams believe it is a sign of strength and power, or whether it is because it has become so popular of a choice in sports, teams all over the world, and in every sport imaginable, have been using the “mighty” tiger as their team mascot. This has become a tradition, and probably will continue on into the future of the sporting world.
