ClanTiger

After 5 painstaking months, I believe that ClanTiger 1.1 is ready to be released. Unlike last release, this one should be more stable since it has been tested by a great community, and now clantiger team, member named FLOW.

Many things have changed since 1.0, like the CMS being renamed to ClanTiger. This was done to re-awaken the community and Google rankings. At this time, we’re not ranked at all but our competitors CCMS and Pro Clan CMS are holding first and second place hostage. As for features and bugfixes, you can see a changelog at the bottom of this post.

The next thing that is going to happen for ClanTiger is creating more templates and a developer/designer manual.

As from version 1.1, GameQ will be used to query the server addresses you enter into the ClanCommandCenter Clan CMS. GameQ has proven to be the most reliable and easy to implement when it comes to game server querying scripts.

GameQ will be used to fetch the amount of players, server name, password, the current player names and their scores, server status and map.

GameQ is a library to query one or more gameservers using UDP and return the formatted results in an array. It’s object-oriented, and easily expandable.
GameQ has recently been completely rewritten, and is still in the alpha phase.

Currently over 140 games are supported.

The first patch (update) is available for ClanCommandCenter and you may download it here:

If you are upgrading, please upload all files EXCEPT settings.php

This update fixes the following issues, uyp to you to decide whether it is worth upgrading!

• Unable to log in
• Statistics referer URI broke the layout
• Statistics counted every hit as a visitor
•  When installing a new template, the widgets (blocks) dissapeared
• Fixed sponsor administration page

The time has come to rub your eyes in disbelief! ClanCommandCenter Clan Cms finally has a release available for download!

It may have taken a long time, but rest assured that it was well worth the wait. I’m sure it’s a common problem, when developing free and opensource software, that real life may halt you from working on it and thus creating delays.
